Yes I agree with what you say. I have worked on and off and with others so know this to be true. I also worry about so many fakes being around. I knew one lady who would suddenly decide to be a fortune teller a few months before she went on a holiday. For a few months she pulled out all of the stops to do "readings". As soon as she returned from her holiday she would cancel bookings, refuse to take bookings, not turn up to bookings, treating people badly, then when the next holiday was due she was hard at it for two months. When christmas came up it was same, she told me it meant she could have great holidays and lots of nice pressies for her grandkids. Not a spiritual bone in her body.

I've also known housewives who say they want to do more while husband is out, they get lonely and bored and stuff, so they think wow that psychic I saw the other day charged me $75 I could do that. They think it is so easy. They buy a pack of cards and think all they have to do is smile and talk like chatting to someone in a supermarket queue. To them $75 is a lot, so they decide yes they will. No practicing, no skills, no idea at all of business.

I've known divorced and widowed women who are the same. One told me she only charges $20 and she knows she is rubbish but that should not matter as she is so cheap.  She got sick and tired of everyone wanting her to play with her tarot cards with them, so as she was living alone and lonely and short of money she decided to charge a small amount so that she did not mind if everyone wanted to come over and bend her ear. The $20 was just to cover her time and so she could pay a cleaner to reach up to get those difficult cobwebs.
