Yes I did see a ghost. And I really do not want to hear that I might have been drunk (I never drink) or taken drugs (never ever) or been tired (no) or any other excuses to account for it. In fact you may say that I am one of the best witnesses. I am a policeman who has had commendations and been a full timer for a long time. I am used to having to be careful about witness statements or watching c c t v footage. I've also done a lot of tarot card readings but I gave that up.
The ghost came up from the basement in my house. We don't go down there often but we have a pool table down there when we have a get together with a crowd, darts etc.  We often forget about it, but sometimes we have to to down there for a general tidy and clean up or to put bits and pieces down, washing, hoovering etc. The ghost I saw was blurry and looked like a young woman. The young woman was wearing a long white dress and looked distant and sad. She came up to the stairway and then turned back and stood in the corner of the room.
I checked all of this up at the library and other people have said similar things about the house and the basement. We never knew this before we checked it up, so it was nothing to do with hearing those accounts and imagining things.
We are trying to get a ghost hunter to come over to investigate but it is hard to find one, one one near enough.

Not sure if I saw a ghost, it was after a difficult day, fuzzy headed, tired, so maybe no not that. The thing is it felt real at the time and when I go over it seemed to be very real too. Not like a dream. No matter how many times I go over it same thing again. My friend was there and agreed we had seen a ghost and she was not tired indeed. She lively and sparkly and say yes we see ghost. It float upstairs in my house and the house very old, we seen it three times now. First time I was tired and shocked second and third time I was on way to bed and not shocked, sort of expect it now.

I personally have not seen a ghost but your story Andy is typical of many i have heard about were there is other documentation about the same building I don't believe that it is coincidence if you look further you might learn more about the young woman I have found ther normaly is a tale around the ghost.
